Blackpool broke their pre-season duck at Bloomfield Road tonight, recording a 2-0 win over a youthful looking Hibernian side.
The Seasiders made just one change to their starting XI from Saturday's defeat to Oldham - Craig Cathcart replacing Neal Eardley, with Alex Baptiste shifting to right back.
'Pool started well, with veteran striker Kevin Phillips pulling the strings up top.
However, they failed to find a way through until half an hour had gone; Elliot Grandin putting himself firmly in the shop window by firing home Stephen Crainey's cross on the volley.
Ian Holloway elected to make no changes at the break, instead holding his subs back until later in the second half when Sylvestre, Clarke and debutant Sutherland replaced Ferguson, Grandin and Ormerod.
Sutherland impressed on debut and laid on Billy Clarke for 'Pool's second with a lovely through ball.
Ollie will now be hoping that his team can continue to gel and step up in intensity with the new season starting just next week.
