Ferguson and Harris Join Blackpool

Ferguson and Harris Join Blackpool

Blackpool have sealed the double signing of Scottish pair Barry Ferguson and Bob Harris.

Harris' transfer has been confirmed officially, and it's widely tipped that Ferguson will join him in the next couple of hours.

The Seasiders have signed former Scotland international Ferguson from Birmingham City in a deal believed to be around £750,000 whilst Harris joins on a free transfer after leaving Queen of the South.

Ferguson was an ever-present for the Blues last season in the middle of midfield where he was one of the Premier League`s top passers with a percentage completion exceeding that of most of the league`s top names.

He has signed a two-year deal with the option of a third.

The same goes for Harris who will remain at Bloomfield Road until 2014 if his option is taken up. Harris allowed his contract to run out at Queen of the South before joining the Seasiders on trial three weeks ago.

The left back impressed so much that he joined the team in Portugal for a pre-season training camp and played in the 2-0 defeat to Rangers on Tuesday night.

Blackpool hope to complete one more signing this evening.
