Quartet Interested In Crainey
A day or so after Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston announced that he is doing his upmost to keep last season's squad together, it has emerged that left back Stephen Crainey is being tracked by four clubs.
According to reports, the 29 year old Scottish international - who is out of contract later this month - is attracting the interest of Wigan, Swansea, Nottingham Forest and Bristol City.
Bristol City's reported interest has been known about for some time, but the emergence of Wigan, Swansea and Forest as suitors as well will cast further doubt over whether the Seasiders can retain Crainey's services.
The Scot currently has a contract offer on the table from the Seasiders, but should he leave, 'Pool manager Ian Holloway would face the difficult task of signing two new left backs this summer.
Although he struggled at times last season in the Premier League, Crainey has been a big part of our success in recent seasons and if he departs as well, it would leave a big hole in the Seasiders' squad on and off the field.
