Harewood Joins Barnsley On Loan

Blackpool have bizarrely allowed striker Marlon Harewood to join Championship side Barnsley on loan until the end of the season.

Although the Seasiders can recall the player after 28 days, the deal makes no sense whichever way you look at it, especially after DJ Campbell's red card today.

After speaking about his desire to stack forwards in the January transfer window for the crucial run-in (much akin to last season), 'Pool manager Ian Holloway had undoubtedly weakened his attack by letting the experience Harewood leave.

Bad decision, decent player. Very powerful, good finisher and can trouble defences on his day. Should not have gone, even on loan.
