'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Final Countdown

There's under four hours of the January transfer window remaining, but there's still plenty of time for transfer drama at BFC.

We have brought you the very latest transfer news from Bloomfield Road throughout the day, starting this morning when we revealed that Sunderland winger Andy Reid was training with the rest of the BFC squad at Squires Gate. Reid has since undergone a medical and signed for the Seasiders on a deal until the end of the season.

Another player who has undergone a medical at the club is Rangers striker James Beattie. The experienced striker has found himself out of favour at Ibrox this season and is set for a loan move to the Seasiders.

A further player discussing terms with the club is Belarus striker Sergei Kornilenko and the Seasiders are hoping to beat tonight's 11pm deadline to sign the Zenit St. Petersburg frontman.

'Pool are also believed to be chasing two further signings, although at present it is not known who the players in question are, although Vital understands that it is unlikely to be the likes of Man City goalkeeper Shay Given.

In terms of departures, as reported by Vital earlier this month, midfielder Keith Southern is in talks with Leeds about joining the Championship side on loan until the end of the season.

The focus of the attention though is on 'Pool skipper Charlie Adam.

There are numerous conflicting reports surrounding the Scot's future, but Vital understands that at present he is most definitely still a Blackpool player, with time running out for any club to sign him before tonight's deadline.

Stick with Vital throughout the night for all the BFC news as it happens.
