Adam NOT Moving To Manchester United

Charlie Adam will not be joining Manchester United today, Vital Blackpool understands.

Sky Sports journalist James Cooper has revealed to us (10 minutes before Sky Sports I might add) that United are not planning a bid for the Blackpool skipper today.

This comes after news that bets on Adam moving to Manchester had been slashed to 1/4 in the last hour.

Cooper said: 'There has definitely been some interest but there won't be a bid for him.'

When asked about a move in the summer, Cooper didn't comment.

Judging by the betting patterns, it seems United were the clear favourites for the captain's signature, especially as Sir Alex Ferguson was quoted as saying his corners were worth £10m alone.

However, with the markets relatively small on situations such as this, it could be that one or two big money bets have skewed results.

Mark Ogden, North West football correspondent for the Daily Telegraph, certainly thinks so. He has tweeted in the past half an hour: "Don't be rushing to the #mufc megastore for your Charlie Adam shirts. Not today anyway."

Sam Lyon, BBC Sport writer, has also said: "Man Utd been linked with Charlie Adam - but been told it's completely untrue."

And now with the news from the respected Cooper, it's perhaps probable that Charlie Adam will still be a Blackpool player at 11 o'clock tonight.
