A Vital Transfer Deadline Day

After all the speculation and rumours, and views and opinions, transfer deadline day is finally here.

Clubs in England have until 11pm tonight to conclude their transfer wheelings and dealings for the remainder of the season.

But what can we expect from the Seasiders today?

So far the 'Pool have made just one signing this transfer window - Moroccan left back Salaheddine Sbai on a deal until the end of the season.

The Seasiders remain hopeful of securing some more new arrivals today though, with various names - such as Sunderland's Andy Reid - having been linked with moves to Bloomfield Road.

There's no doubt that it is vital that the Seasiders strengthen their overstretched squad today to give themselves the best possible chance of remaining in the Premier League, although just as important is that the Seasiders keep hold of their 'big names'; captain Charlie Adam has been the subject of widespread interest, but despite various bids for the Scottish international and the player handing in a transfer request (which was rejected), the club say that he will be going nowhere unless they receive an offer that they can't refuse.

As always we'll have all the news as it happens today on Vital, and in the first bit of transfer business at Bloomfield Road today, we can reveal that young striker Lewis Almond has extended his loan at Barrow until April 3rd.

Will their be any more arrivals or departures at Bloomfield Road today? Stay tuned to Vital to find out!
