'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Return To Sender

Rotherham United have sent utility man Danny Coid back to Blackpool due to injury.

The 'Pool stalwart has been at the League Two side for the past few weeks and has impressed, but unfortunately for him it's the same old story - injuries.

Injuries have ravaged the player's career and he now looks set to miss out on a move this transfer window, news that will also be a blow for the Sesiders who were probably looking at shifting him out of the club to create a free spot in their 25 man Premier League squad.

One glimmer of hope for Coidy though is that Rotherham do want to sign him permanently, albeit in the summer when his contract at Bloomfield Road expires.

Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore told BBC Radio Sheffield; 'He's not going to be fit for about three weeks, and we can't afford to wait for that to settle down.

'But I'd like to try and do something with him. He knows the situation and possibly something can be done at the end of the season.'

Meanwhile, 'Pool have loaned out young keeper Mark Halstead to Kettering.
