Hammill Set To Wing His Way Back To The Seaside?

Could Adam Hammill be set for a return to Bloomfield Road?

It is Vital's understanding that the 22 year old winger is very much on 'Pool manager Ian Holloway's radar, and that the Seasiders could well launch a bid for him when the transfer window opens next month.

Hammill, who can play on either flank, of course spent six months on loan at Bloomfield Road in the 2008/9 season, impressing both colleagues and fans alike with his committed and skillful performances.

Following his loan at the seaside, he joined Championship outfit Barnsley on loan before making the move permanent in the summer of 2009.

And it would be fair to say that he has impressed at Oakwell, chipping in with a dozen goals in just over seventy appearances - including seven goals this season alone, some of which have been absolute corkers.

It is believed that the 'Pool are not the only Premier League club tracking the player, but Hammill certainly ticks all of the boxes for the Seasiders and Ian Holloway being young, English, and more than capable of fitting into our brand of football.

Furthermore, Hammill is known to have a release clause in his contract which is believed to be set at £500,000 - a fee that would certainly fit in with the scope of 'Pool's transfer policy.

And the Tykes appear to be preparing the ground for the wideman's departure; our sister site Vital Barnsley reported at the weekend that the Tykes' signing of Garry O'Connor from Birmingham could signal the exit of Hammill (believed to be one of Barnsley's highest earners) as Mark Robins looks to raise funds for the transfer window.

Would you be happy to see Hammill return? As always, you can discuss everything BFC on our forums... get involved today!
