Halstead Set To Join Barrow On Loan

Following injury to their goalkeeper Clark Masters in training yesterday, Barrow have swooped for Blackpool's young goalkeeper Mark Halstead.

Officials at both Barrow and Blackpool were up late last night as they tried to rush through the paperwork allowing Halstead to join the non league club on a one emergency loan.

Presumably the loan went through with no complications, Halstead will make his debut this afternoon against AFC Wimbledon.

It is not yet clear whether the deal includes a 24 hour recall clause, meaning that the Seasiders are left with just two fit goalkeepers; Matt Gilks and Richard Kingson.
