Referee Update

By SeasideEssexXile

In a week when referees have come under the proverbial ever watchful eye more than ever there's a touch of irony when you look at the current MIB table.

Mr Clattenberg leads the way, and that despite being in charge for the 4-0 drubbing at Stamford Bridge.

Infact there's a couple of shocks on the current leage table, Mr Mason, the man who replaced Mr Singh as the ref that Pool fans love to hate, isn't bottom.

Even Mr Jones, another ref who seems to have had a downer on the mighty over the years isn't bottom, that honour currently befalls Mike Dean, whose appearance at the home defeat at Blackburn left not only Ian Holloway but the Pool fans bemoaning his inability to spot several infingements in the build up to their late, late winner.

Our last game saw the Premierships youngest referee Mr Oliver, make 3 big decisions, all of which went our way, but his performance earlier on in the season sees him sit mid table after his earlier effort.

Saturdays game sees the first appearance of the season for Mr Marriner, whilst the two referees who were promoted to the eilte list this season following our game at Villa next Wednesday will have both taken in two.

Nothing like blooding the youngsters against the 'newboys' eh? Who says all the big clubs get the decisions?

You can rate the ref with a score between 0-10 after every Pool game via the Matchday forum.

Graph so far...

Name Points
M Clattenberg 7.6
M Halsey 7.45
A Taylor 5.5
M Oliver 4.14
P Dowd 3.0
L Mason 3.0
M Jones 2.8
M Dean 2.1
