'Pool's Success Has Hart Over The Moon

Joe Hart says he's 'over the moon' at the meteoric rise of Blackpool.

The 23-year-old played a huge role in the promotion of the Seasiders from League 1 in 2007, playing in the last five games before the playoffs. Simon Grayson's side won all five with Hart a stand out performer.

It was obvious then that the goalkeeper would become a huge star in the game, showing his shot-stopping and command of his area in his first game away at Huddersfield.

Since that promotion, 'Pool have obviously gone from strength to strength and now will pit their wits against Hart and co on Sunday when Manchester City visit Bloomfield Road.

Hart, who is thankful for the opportunity given to him by 'Pool, said: 'I turned up at Blackpool and they were on a massive winning run, I just had to stand in goal for a couple of games!

'It was five games in all and we won them all. Then the team went on to win the play-offs. They've not looked back and I'm over the moon for them.

'I enjoyed my time there. I was an emergency loan, and shot over there. I didn't train much, I'd just turn up on Friday and play on Saturday.

'It was a great experience of me and I am happy that the club has gone on to more success. I am looking forward to playing there again.'
