PITMAN OFFER ACCEPTED

In the last few minutes, news has broken on the AFC Bournemouth official website that Blackpool have had a bid accepted for striker Brett Pitman.

Media reports over the past 24 hours had suggested that the Seasiders had made a bid of around 400,000 for the player in a deal that included clauses which, if triggered, could see the fee rise to 600,000.

However, it is unclear whether or not the above offer is the one that has been accepted or whether the Seasiders have made an improved offer for the in-form hitman.

Indeed, sources within AFC Bournemouth suggested to Vital earlier this summer that the Cherries would only sell Pitman for a fee of around 1 million.

The promising young striker has been a long term target of Ian Holloway's, and it seems as if the 'Pool manager has moved quickly to secure the player's signature after 19 other teams watched him net a hat-trick against Peterborough at the weekend.

The Bournemouth site reports that Pitman is currently in Blackpool discussing personal terms.
