'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Two Reject 'Pool But Four In Today

Blackpool are set to present four new signings to the media at 10 o'clock this morning.

The call for a press conference came after a hectic day at Bloomfield Road with rumours that we'd signed numerous players running in conjunction with Sky Sports' story that Ollie could've resigned.

It has now become apparent that the Seasiders have been knocked back in a bid for striker Marlon Harewood, after the former Villa player wanted to join.

The Daily Mail say in a very detailed report that Huddersfield Town have outbid 'Pool - both offering Harewood £8k a week but that the League One side would give him a rise if they were to get promoted, whilst Karl Oyston would slash his wages if we were relegated.

News has also come out that Robert Koren has turned the club down, although in much less detail and we're perhaps more inclined to leave that one alone.

As for the players coming in, the Gazette report that Craig Cathcart and Ludovic Sylvestre are nailed onto sign - which has become common knowledge over the past 48 hours.

They also speculate that Malaury Martin could be one to join but nothing knew has been said about that.

There have been mutterings that Elliot Grandin - once a target for Aston Villa - could be the big signing annonced in under an hour's time.

8grand a week ??? and we didnt snap him up ??? what are we playing at ??? This is 2010... not 1980 wages. . . . I know we have just sign 4 new faces announced on sky just 2 mins ago - - but still ..... Harewood would be a Great asset to the club ! we already missed out on DJ... his wages were quite alot more than 8000 im led to believe.... so Marlon would have been ideal ! . . . . not good !

I wouldnt like to be paying Marlon Harewood £8000 a week if we go down, I hope there is a clause. I don't rate him one bit.
