'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rangel's Agent in 'Pool Premier Plea

The agent of Blackpool target Angel Rangel has stated that he hopes Swansea City let his client leave for the Premiership.

Xavi Cruz, who's represented the defender since his move to England in 2007, said that it's the player's dream to compete in the top flight.

Rangel, who has impressed for the Swans since moving from Terrassa in Spain, has been sought after by Fulham and Wigan as well as the Seasiders this year.

But it's definitely the 'Pool who have been the frontrunners in the race for his signature in the past month after having a couple of bids previously knocked back, even though Cruz wouldn't admit where Rangel's likely destination is.

After Ian Holloway's fresh offer last week, Cruz said: 'It is the chance for Angel to fulfil his dream, which is to play in the Premier League,' Cruz told the Evening Post.

'Angel wants to be in the Premier League as soon as possible.

'We have been talking with the chairman during the last week and he understands the situation because this is not the first time that Angel has had the chance to play in the Premier League.

'We don't think about this option (not moving) because we trust the chairman, and he said he would do the best for the club and the player. To play in the Premier League is the dream of Angel's life.'

It had been said that Rangel would be allowed to leave towards the end of the month but the Seasiders are becoming increasingly desperate for new faces ahead of the opening game of the season away at Wigan a week on Saturday.

The question is would Swansea rather cash in now and snap up a replacement or hold us to ransom right up until the deadline? I think we all know the likely answer to that...
