Rangel Happy At Swansea

After being linked with a £1 million move to Blackpool, Swansea right back Angel Rangel has said that he is happy to stay at Swansea.

Speaking to Wales Online, the player said:

'I've said to the new gaffer and to the chairman that I am happy.

'He [Rodgers] knows I have been linked with other clubs. He has said he wants me to stay and I have told him I want to stay.

'The gaffer said he knows what kind of player I am and that he wants me to be an important part of the team.

'I am very pleased with that. He has said I will have an attacking role down the right side which is good for me. He has given me a freedom to go forward and I enjoy that side of the game.

'I've said I wanted to play in the Premier League if I had the chance, but so far I do not know of anything. I am just concentrating on Swansea.

'At the end of the day these things could be just rumours and only [chairman] Huw Jenkins knows if there has been contact from other clubs.

'He has not said there has been any approach from Blackpool, so there is nothing me for me to say about it.

'If there is something I will give my opinion on it, but I am concentrating on Swansea.'
