Sousa: DJ Has Leicester Future

New Leicester manager Paulo Sousa has today said that DJ Campbell has a future at the club.

The striker was widely expected to leave the Midlands club this summer and sign for Blackpool, but the two club's failure to negotiate a transfer fee has put a halt to that (at least for now!).

And after four goals in four pre-season games, Sousa is keen to retain the services of the front man.

Speaking the Foxes' official website, Sousa said:

'He is full of confidence in himself and he is one of the players in better shape and someone who is going to help us a lot this season.

'I see all the time DJ with a lot of happiness in training sessions, his enthusiasm and these are the sort of players I want to work with.

'He is someone very committed to me, to the club and to the fans and he is someone who wants to do great things for the club this season.'

Could this be anothre blow to Ian Holloway's transfer plans, or purely a smokescreen?
