Keinan Transfer Hinges On Permit Appeal

Nothing's ever easy at Blackpool is it?

Israeli international centre half Dekel Keinan has been rejected a work permit for his move to Blackpool it was announced tonight.

Speaking to Sky Sports News following the Seasiders' 2-1 win over Accrington Stanley (Ormerod and Southern with the goals), 'Pool manager Ian Holloway confirmed that Keinan has had his work permit application rejected.

The club and the player will now attend an appeal hearing on Thursday, where they will plead Keinan's case to be given a permit.

It is understood that Keinan is just one game short of qualifying for a permit, but with international friendlies just three weeks away and Keinan likely to be involved in the Israel squad, it seems stupid not to grant him a permit.

It would never happen to Manchester United, would it?

Meanwhile, earlier today we commented on Ollie's increasing frustration at his failure to land any of his transfer targets so far this summer.

That frustration was all too apparent in his interview with Sky Sports News, where Ollie stated that he has been priced out of moves for every single English player he has enquired about.

Tough and worrying times for Ollie and Blackpool... you can't help but feel that life was easier when we were in the lower divisions and had less money!
