'If It's Football, It's Vital'

'Pool Linked With Weaver

The Daily Mail is this morning linking Blackpool with a move for goalkeeper Nicky Weaver.

31 year old Weaver is currently without a club after being released by Burnley, and the paper says that Blackpool, Tranmere and Dundee United are also interested in the player.

A decent player certainly, Weaver has previously spent spells at Mansfield, Manchester City (where he made his name), Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton, and Dundee United.

Meanwhile, in related news, reports are claiming that Crystal Palace are set to beat the Seasiders to the signing of Burnley's Stephen Jordan. What bizarre times these are.

I suspect it is all about money and what wages Hollaway is being allowed to offer. Its a tough world in the Premiership and all about finance I am afraid. You will be in for a tough season and team spirit is going to be key because every week you will be a David against a Goliath. Get your stones ready.
