'Pool Miss Out On Target?

Newspapers and websites have been full of rumours about transfer targets for the Seasiders ever since out promotion to the Premier League.

One player who was heavily linked with a move to Bloomfield Road was Rangers defender Kirk Broadfoot, who was out of contract at the Scottish champions.

However, if indeed the 'Pool were after him, the defender has today rejected several other offers to sign a new three year contract at Ibrox.

Speaking about his new deal, Broadfoot said that Walter Smith remaining as Rangers manager and the prospect of Champions League football was just too good to turn down.
