'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Rumours Continue...

You can't move for transfer rumours and speculation at the moment, and the Seasiders have been linked with a further four players in the press.

First up is Manchester United youngster Tom Cleverley. The 21 year old midfielder bagged 11 goals in 33 games on loan at Watford last season and if reports are true, the Seasiders are currently fighting it out with Newcastle to take him on loan for the forthcoming season.

Second is Altrincham's 21 year old right back/midfielder Shaun Densmore. Shaun came through the ranks at Everton before being released in 2008, but has since impressed with his tenacious displays at Altrincham and is an England C international.

Next up, rather incredibly, is Bolton striker Kevin Davies. Despite his big wages, the target man has been linked with the Seasiders more than once in some quarters and Ian Holloway is known to be looking for a target man this summer. Furthermore, Davies' future at Bolton could be in the doubt given the style of football that new(ish) manager Owen Coyle wants to play (Although would that mean that he wouldn't fit into our style as well? I actually think he would by holding the ball up and bring the wide players into the game). One to keep an eye on anyway...

Last, but by no means least, is Honduran striker Georgie Welcome. The skillful striker is set to play for his country in the World Cup and newspaper reports state that the Seasiders and Rangers are tracking him. He has 14 caps for his country and 3 goals.
