Gary Taylor-Fletcher is one of football's true success stories.
Just a few years ago, the attacker was plying his trade in non-league for Northwich Victoria. But now, following a career that has taken in Leyton Orient, Lincoln City and Huddersfield as well, GTF is set to grace the Premier League.
I remember reading in the programme the season before last an interview with GTF where he said that he seemed to get promoted up a division every other year. Well, it might have taken the Seasiders an extra season to get into the Prem, but I don't think he'll have any complaints... and from his interview with the Blackpool Gazette this week, it certainly doesn't sound like he has any:
'Ten years ago it was Gary Taylor-Fletcher Conference player but I've slowly worked my way up the leagues and all the hard work has paid off.
'So for me in particular it will be unbelievable to walk out that first day in the Premier League.
'But if all the lads from the team which won promotion are there beside me, it will be even better.
'Because that's one thing I can say, I couldn't think of a better bunch of lads to do this with.'
And in the spirit of GTF's rise from non league to the Premier League, a little Friday challenge for you all: how many other players have done the same? I know Steve Finnan has, but are there any others?
If you know of any, reply below or use the messageboard.
