Reserves Lose 3-0

Despite fielding a team containing Paul Rachubka, Danny Coid, Andy Butler, Al Bangura, Stephen Husband, Ishmel, Steve McPhee, Danny Mitchley and Billy Clarke, Blackpool's reserves were soundly beaten 3-0 yesterday afternoon by their Rochdale counterparts.

Even worse news for the Seasiders was that Danny Coid had to leave the field after less than 40 minutes after feeling his hamstring.

However, Coidy was quick to say that he just went off as a precaution:

'I just felt the hamstring tighten but I came off as a precaution, nothing more,' he said.

'Normally I'd have carried on but with the way my season has gone I can't take any risks.

'I've only been back in training for a week since my hamstring went last time so I have to be sensible.'

Al Banguara was sent off in the match and now faces a one game reserve team suspension.
