DJ Looking For Permanent 'Pool Move

DJ Campbell has confirmed to the Blackpool Gazette that he would love to make his move to the seaside a permanent one, stating that he is very happy at the club.

The striker is currently on loan from Leicester until the end of the season, and something about playing in tangerine seems to bring out the best in him.

However, once again, wages could prove to be the stumbling block. The player is on extortinate wages with the Foxes, and until now, Nigel Pearson has been unwilling to pay up the rest of his contract, which runs until July 2011.

Whether the Seasiders could stretch to DJ's wages or whether he'd be prepared to lower them remains to be seen, but nevertheless, the player is certainly happy to be at Bloomfield Road for the time being.

'I just love playing football and I'm so happy to be here it's actually hard to describe,' said the striker.

'When a footballer is happy at a club it makes things so much easier and I'm so pleased to be back.

'This Blackpool team is playing much better than the one I was playing in last season. The lads have stepped up another level from where they were - obviously the gaffer and Steve Thompson have pushed them even further.

'It's good to be a part of it and I'm just looking forward to what the rest of the season might bring.

'I would definitely stay here permanently, 100 per cent.

'I know it's only a loan until the end of the season, but fingers crossed. You never know what might happen in the summer.

'We've tried to get it done in the past but for whatever reason it has not happened. Hopefully this time it will.'
