Charlie Fired Up For Return

Charlie Adam returns from a two game ban tonight refreshed and ready to reignite the Seasiders' charge towards the playoffs.

The twenty-three-year-old Scot looks set to go straight back into the Seasiders starting XI against a club that tried to sign him last month.

Middlesbrough made several offers for the midfield maestro making a nervous transfer deadline day for 'Pool fans, but the Scot is still very much a Tangerine and is looking to record another win over Gordon Strachan's men tonight after a 3-0 win earlier in the season at the Riverside.

However, with Strachan having wheeled and dealed during the transfer window, the Boro side that Adam and Blackpool face tonight could be very different to the one that they beat earlier in the season and Adam warns that the Seasiders will have to be at their very best to secure the three points.

'I know what is going to come at us tonight because Strachan is going to have them very fired up,' said Charlie.

'They will not want to get beaten twice by the same team, and likewise we want to try to record our first double of the season by beating them.

'It is going to be good because I obviously know their new lads.

'They are good players. They've come from Celtic, they've won titles and played in the Champions League - they are top footballers and it will be good to have another battle with them.'
