Championship News Round-Up

Bristol City: City have signed strikers Patrick Agyemang and Chris Iwelumo on loan. Keep tuned in to events at Ashton Gate though: manager Gary Johnson could be collecting his P45 before the season is out.

Cardiff: Their winding-up order has been adjourned for twenty eight days. Let's hope that they go into administration - it would certainly boost our playoff hopes!

Coventry: The Sky Blues have signed striker Fred Sears on loan from West Ham until the end of the season.

Crystal Palace: The Eagles remain in administration despite selling Victor Moses to Wigan.

Derby: The Rams have signed Michael Tonge and Javan Vidal on loan from Stoke and Manchester City respectively. Both deals run until the end of the season, as does David Martin's loan from Millwall, which, upon expiring, will become a permanent deal.

Ipswich: Roy Keane's men have signed Sunderland striker David Healy on loan until the end of the season.

Leicester: The Foxes have signed defender Alex Bruce on loan from Ipswich.

Middlesbrough: Busy times at the Riverside. In: Stephen McManus, Kyle Naughton, Scott McDonald and Lee Miller. Out: Didier Digard, Mido and Adam Johnson.

Newcastle: The Toon concluded their transfer window business by signing Leon Best from Coventry and allowing midfielder Geremi to join Turkish club Ankaragucu.

Peterborough: The Posh stole the headlines on transfer deadline day by sacking manaher Mark Cooper and replacing him with Jim Gannon.

Plymouth: Argyle have signed striker Kenny Cooper on loan from 1860 Munich and midfielder Damien Johnson on a free transfer from Birmingham.

Preston: The Nobbers have completed the permanent signings of Keith Treacy from Blackburn and Paul Coutts from Peterborough. They have also signed Matthew James on loan from Manchester United.

QPR: The Hoops have signed strikers Marcus Bent and Tamas Priskin on loan from Birmingham and Ipswich respectively. Both deals will run until the end of the season.

Scunthorpe: The Iron have signed one time 'Pool target Michael Raynes from Stockport. The defender joins for an undisclosed fee.

Sheffield United: The Blades have signed Sunderland's Nyron Nosworthy and Fulham's Toni Kallio on loan until the end of the season.

Watford: The Hornets have signed Birmingham defender Martin Taylor on a free transfer.

West Brom: The Baggies have signed midfielder Giles Barnes after his release from Derby. They've also signed West Ham striker Frank Nouble on a month's loan.
