Big Match Build Up

Chelsea awaits the winner of this tie. With only having four days to wait after tonight`s clash until the potential trip to Stamford Bridge, Norwich fans have been applying for tickets already for the game against the Premiership Champions. Fans eager to be part of the 6,000 strong Canary faithful are asked - 'Haven`t you got to beat Blackpool first?` to which they reply - 'ah, we`ll be alright against them lot`.

This is far from my opinion however. It`s not a formality. I agree that you probably missed out on your best chance of going through against us in the game at Bloomfield Road. Our away form is beyond shocking, we were down to ten men, with one win all year and we had an average central midfielder having to play centre back for the majority of the second half. You had the chances and you probably should have won the game.

Now it`s back to Carrow Road, a return for 'Forbsey` and a chance for you to cause an upset. Our win and performance against Leeds last week was one of the biggest of the season. However, we will be missing two key factors from that game. New signings Mark Fortheringham and Simon Lappin are ineligible as they weren`t signed until after the original game. They were a breath of fresh air against Leeds and their presence will be missed.

We do though - in Darren Huckerby - have a man on top of his game. When`s he`s on form there is no one as good in the Championship. I expect him to cause your defence all sorts of problems. Without Earnshaw, Huckerby is the man you need to stop. Everything we do well will come through Hucks. He`s a Norwich legend. Simple as that.

Of your players I think Forbes could cause our Skipper Adam Drury a few problems - he`s been out through suspension and hasn`t been at his steadiest this season. Andy Morrell will work hard up front and always looked like a threat in his Coventry days. I`ve heard good things about Scott Vernon as well.

Match Prediction? I`ll go with 3-1 to us. We`ll start of nervously and concede early on, but this will kick us into gear and we`ll win with two goals from Huckerby and a late own goal from Adrian Forbes. Well I couldn`t deny him a goal on his return to Carrow Road could I?

Best of the luck for the game and let`s hope we prove Sky Sports wrong for choosing the Middlesbrough v Bristol City game over ours.
