Adam Set New Target

Charlie Adam's goal on Saturday was his 12th of the season, and his fourth in four games.

Now, assistant manager Steve Thompson has said that the Seasiders have set the player a new target of trying to get as close to twenty goals as possible.

'Charlie is in a rich vein of form at the moment and that is great news for us,' said Thommo.

'We set him a target of double figures and we were hoping he'd perhaps get to that in the latter stages of the season.

'But now he's already there by January we're hoping he'll get to the latter stages of double figures and get 18 or 19 goals.'

The player confirmed recently that he has his own personal target but that he would not reveal it until after he'd gone past it.
