Ollie Regrets Letting Fox Go

With some big decisions to be made on contracts in the coming months, 'Pool boss Ian Holloway has revealed that he regrets releasing midfielder David Fox over the summer.

Speaking to The Gazette, Ollie said:

'I have 12 people who have an option, which will either be taken up or not by the end of this season, so I've a really busy job.

'I've got to be fair to people. I've got to give them chances and have a good look at them in my team.

'An example is David Fox. In my way of playing he might have been a very handy player for us.

'In the old way he might not have got around the place, but in my way he'd have kept the ball and kept us ticking over, so maybe I got that one wrong and let him go at the wrong time because he is a nice footballer. It is all about timing and getting the right people.'

Fox now plays for Colchester United in League One.
