Rotherham Manipulating Law Situation?

After conflicting reports about who's bid or who hasn't for Rotherham United midfielder Nicky Law, the Millers seem to be using it as a PR stunt.

'Pool reportedly had a 150,000 bid rejected on Friday by the League Two side.

But Seasiders boss Ian Holloway said the club didn't bid: 'We haven't bid for Nicky Law. I asked some questions but to say we've bid is rubbish.

'I spoke to an agent. I told him that everyone in this country was costing a fortune and I jokingly said to him 'I bet 150,000 wouldn't get Nicky Law'.

Now the Rotherham United board have come out fighting, using the situation in their favour. United Chairman Tony Stewart said: 'It's a statement to the fans, and also says to the players, that we want you to take this club forward and that your ambitions and goals can be achieved with us.

'We are not in the market to sell our leading players. Our intention is to keep them and push for promotion.'

Whether the Championship side will like being used in this way remains to be seen, but if 'Pool didn't bid for Law it shows sheer unprofessionalism from the League Two club.
