Eardley Targets Play-Offs
Summer signing Neal Eardley has said that he is focused on ensuring that the Seasiders finish in the top six come May in an interview with The Gazette.
However, the Welsh international right back, who has generally impressed since his summer move from Oldham, conceded that the next ten games, of which seven are at home, could make or break the club's season.
'It's a huge little run of matches coming up but I think we're capable of doing well in them - and I think we can make the play-offs,' said Eardley.
'We've only had one defeat at Bloomfield Road, bar the FA Cup game, so we've shown really good home form.
'Even that one league home defeat, against Barnsley, we should have won. We just missed chances and it cost us.
'But seven of the next 10 games are at home and they are going to have a massive bearing on where we end up in the table, whether we are going to be in the top six or outside.'
Blackpool's next ten games see them play QPR, Sheffield Wednesday, Watford, Coventry, West Brom, Leicester, Sheffield Wednesday, Preston, Middlesbrough and Reading, with only the games against Coventry, Sheffield Wednesday (the second one) and Preston being away.
