'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wednesday Game Stays On A Tuesday

Following dicussions with the police, Blackpool's home Championship clash will still take place on Tuesday 19th January, kick-off 7.45pm.

Both parties had hoped that the game could be moved to the weekend of the FA Cup 4th Round with both teams being out of the competition, but Preston's televised game against Chelsea on Saturday afternoon in the same competition has put paid to that with the police concerned about not having the resources to cover both matches, even if the 'Pool game were to be played on the Friday night.

Instead, the club have now proposed that the Watford game the following Tuesday night is moved forward to the Saturday; something that the police have no objections with as fewer resources would be required for that particular game.

However, as of yet, Watford have not agreed to the change.

As usual though, Vital Blackpool will bring you any news as soon as we have it.
