Owls Game Could Be Rearranged Again

The Seasiders' home game against Sheffield Wednesday could be set to be rearranged again after officials from the Owls requested that Blackpool move the game to FA Cup 4th Round weekend with both teams having been eliminated from the competition last weekend.

The game was originally scheduled to take place on December 28th, but was postponed due to a frozen pitch and rearranged for Tuesday 19th January.

However, wanting to avoid an evening match, Owls officials have pushed for the game to be moved again, this time to the free FA Cup 4th Round weekend.

It is believed that officials from Blackpool have agreed to the switch, but that both clubs are now waiting for police permission to switch the game.

One concern that the police may have is that Preston's home FA Cup tie against Chelsea is scheduled to be played Saturday lunchtime live on tv (some crucial funds to help the Nobbers avoid administration unfortunately!) - a game that will probably require a large police prescence, meaning that there might not be enough officers available to cover a game at Bloomfield Road on the same day.

Playing on the Sunday is one option, although with the Seasiders playing Watford on the Tuesday night, it is unlikely that Ian Holloway will agree to that.

Meanwhile, discussions are still ongoing with West Brom regarding the postponed game from December 19th, and as of yet, no new date has been agreed for the match.

In other news, we have been asked to make it clear to season ticket holders that voucher ticket numbers for the club's forthcoming home games will remain the same, despite the postponements against West Brom and Sheffield Wednesday.

Thus, voucher 11 is required against the Baggies, voucher 12 against the Owls, and voucher 13 against QPR.
