'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Has Nards Kick-Started His Blackpool Career?

Last season was a tortuous one for Daniel Nardiello. Having signed on a free transfer from QPR, he rarely featured for the 'Pool as he struggled with form and fitness.

However, a loan spell with League One Hartlepool appears to have rejuvenated the front man somewhat and on Tuesday night away at Crewe he produced his best performance in a Blackpool shirt yet, scoring the winning goal with a lovely placed finish.

Indeed, his goal may now put him into the picture to start tomorrow v Cardiff, especially with Ben Burgess struggling with injury.

'Pool manager Ian Holloway was certainly very impressed by his contribution on Tuesday night; speaking to the Blackpool Gazette, he said:

'I thought some of his runs were electric. Some of the things he sees are of a higher level.

'He has to try to reproduce that on a regular basis but if he gives me that effort I haven't got any problems.

'I know he can score goals.'

Nardiello will now be looking to prove his doubters wrong, and what better way to start than with a goal v Cardiff tomorrow?
