'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Oyston Exit Talk Quashed

Despite substantial murmurs otherwise, Valeri Belokon and Karl Oyston will both stay in their roles at the football club, Blackpool Vital has been told.

After a frantic week on the internet and following discussions between Oyston, Belokon and manager Ian Holloway all sorts of rumours were spreading, ranging from the new gaffer was to resign, to either Oyston or Belokon pulling out.

The thought that seemed to have the most credence was the buying up of more shares by the President Belokon with the view to eventually taking charge of 'Pool - especially after the news that he was pumping in extra transfer funds this week. Although rather sketchy, it was viewed that Karl Oyston may not remain at the club for much longer.

However, that has today been quashed by representatives of Mr Belokon to Blackpool Vital and we can confirm that the only announcements coming out of Bloomfield Road this week will be that of new players.
Karl Oyston will remain Chairman and Belokon will stay as President.

Looking further down the line, Valeri will not rule out taking up more than his 20% of shares in the club. He was offered the opportunity to buy more shares in the club some time ago, and that offer is still open. He will be looking to further those shares when the convenient time comes according to his representative, but for the minute he's pleased with the situation.

Later this week we'll have an exclusive open letter to the fans from Mr Belokon, and for that reason, coupled with the expected influx of signings, mean you shouldn`t go anywhere else for your 'Pool fix!
