Fox Leaves Blackpool For U's
David Fox has left Bloomfield Road to pastures new in League One.
The 25-year-old, who signed for The Seasiders from Manchester United three years ago, has penned a three year contract with Colchester United.
And after playing over 100 games for 'Pool, the time was right for Foxy to move on.
His contract at Blackpool was up at the end of this month, and U's boss Paul Lambert was quick to snap Fox up.
Cultured in possession, Fox should be a big hit at United, who are already looking to him to dictate play in the middle of the park.
The player himself still has ambitions to play as high as he can, despite not being wanted by the new regime under Ian Holloway here by the seaside.
'I don't want to be out of the Championship too long and this is a great opportunity to get back. Hopefully that can be achieved this coming season,' said the new signing.
The move shows a step forward from 'Pool's point of view, as some of the heroes from the promotion season were found out at Championship level and it is good to see the club becoming ruthless.
The fate of other out of contract players such as Claus Jorgensen, Jermaine Wright, Brett Ormerod and Marlon Broomes are unknown.
