'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Knill Coy on Bury Exit Talks

Bury boss Alan Knill has today added fuel to the fire surrounding his move to Bloomfield Road to replace Simon Grayson as Blackpool's new manager.

Despite going on The Shakers' official site and appearing to deny links with the managerial post, Knill did his upmost not to say anything concrete on the rumours.

'All this about Blackpool is just speculation, obviously it's flattering but at the moment it is just speculation,' said the 44-year-old.

He continued: 'It's good but at the moment, it's just speculation and until I hear otherwise I'm just getting on with what I'm doing, and that's meeting new players.'

Perhaps the most unconvincing denial ever seen in football? Ok, maybe not, but it must be close!

It seems that Knill is right in the frame for the job, and after his interview today, looks set to battle it out with Ian Holloway for the top job by the seaside.
