Bookies Make Holloway Favourite

Ian Holloway has been installed as the favourite to replace Tony Parkes as Blackpool manager.

Holloway's name has been mentioned in several message board posts over the past week, and as a result, Victor Chandler have installed him as the 5/2 favourite to get the job.

Next up is Cambridge United manager Gary Brabin at 11/4, current assistant manager Steve Thompson at 3/1 and the heavily tipped Alan Knill at 7/2.

Jim Gannon is priced at 9/2, Andy Ritchie at 5/1, John Sheridan and John Hughes at 8s and 9s respectvely, and Pool favourite Paul Simpson at 10/1.

The popular Aidy Boothroyd is available at 12s, whilst ex manager Steve McMahon can be found at 16/1 along with Iain Dowie, who was heavily linked with the position just a few short weeks ago.

Nigel Worthington could be in line for a shock return to Bloomfield Road at 20/1, whilst even more surprisingly, Colin Hendry is quoted at 28/1!

Look forward to him signing two completely unknown Hungarians (plus countless other goons) on loan who will, in effect, be completely incompetent and help towards your relegation. Sorry, still bitter over here from Holloway taking us down!
