Alan Mahon Signs for 'Pool
Burnley midfielder Alan Mahon has signed on loan at Bloomfield Road until the end of the season.
The 30-year-old looks set to start against Southampton on Saturday ahead of Stephen Crainey on the left of midfield, and was captured mainly through injuries to both David Vaughan and Gary Taylor-Fletcher.
Clarets gaffer Owen Coyle clearly holds Mahon in high regard, saying 'he has been limited to the amount of football he should be playing, which is unfortunate because he is a quality player.'
The former Ireland international, who played for his country twice, is out of contract at Turf Moor at the end of the season.
