Blackpool Fixture 'Massive' for Tykes

Blackpool Fixture 'Massive' for Tykes

Barnsley defender Bobby Hassell has put pressure on both his side and Blackpool ahead of the Championship clash between the two clubs on Saturday.

The 28-year-old is known for his red hair (although he went through a blonde spell in the above picture clearly!) at the back for The Tykes and put the heat on the teams by saying 'It's a big game for us. It's a must win,'

'We have to make sure that we beat the teams around us. That is how we're approaching the game and it's all we can do really.'

This could perhaps work for 'Pool, with their hosts placing such importance on the game. However, that notion was quashed when Hassell finished by saying 'If we get the three points on Saturday it will put us above Blackpool. That is massive for us.'

In another sub plot - as if we really needed one - former Bloomfield Road loanee Adam Hammill is likely to start against his old club and will be looking to impress. Hopefully he'll prove ineffectual, just as he did back in August when 'Pool overcame another of his old teams, Southampton!
