As if Saturday's game wasn't important enough there's the small matter of the return of Wes Hoolahan and Alan Gow.
Norwich sit in 23rd place, three points and two places behind Blackpool. This is a huge game. It's surely a must win for the Seasiders, or at the very least a must-not-lose.
But how will we cope with the return of former players Hoolahan and Gow? The former Rangers man replaced Hoolahan in the second half of Tuesday's win at QPR, suggesting that only one of them will start against the Seasiders. You would expect it to be Hoolahan.
The Irishman has started 24 league matches for the Canaries, scoring two goals. His creativity has been sadly missing from the Blackpool midfield this season. And it will be interesting to see how we deal with his floating role.
Gow has rather ominously yet to open his Norwich account in four appearances. Gow scored five goals for Blackpool in a successful loan spell earlier in the season. But he refused to stay with the club once Wolves came sniffing. Gow then failed a medical at Molineux and he has since signed on loan at Carrow Road.
It will be interesting to see what reception the fans give Gow and Hoolahan and their response, if any, to the Pool faithful. Both players made important contributions to BFC, Wes in particular helped get us up and keep us up last year. I think we'll hear a mixture of boos and applause for Hoolahan and mainly boos for Gow. Let's hope Pool's performance and result keeps those two quiet.
