'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Tony Parked for the Season at 'Pool?

Karl Oyston has returned back home from a meeting in Riga with Blackpool president Valeri Belokon today, remarkably stating to the local press that 'it is maybe time that people moved on and found something else to talk about' with regards to the manager situation at Bloomfield Road.

'The Blackpool Gazette' are insinuating that this stance from the Chairman means Tony Parkes will remain at the helm for the remainder of the season.

But whether or not that is the case remains to be seen, with no quotes (as of yet) attributed to Oyston saying anything other than it's business as usual at the club.

'I made my position clear when Simon defected to Leeds that I was putting Tony and Steve in charge until further notice. That remains the case and it is maybe time that people moved on and found something else to talk about' said Oyston, who - it looks to me - is giving very little away.

Stockport County manager Jim Gannon yesterday rejected the chance to join Brighton and Hove Albion, fueling rumours that he could be on his way to the seaside - although there is no word from anyone connected to the club indicating whether this is true or not.

So, after the very public meeting in Latvia, nothing seems to have changed - for now.
