'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Former 'Pool Merella Switches Seasides

Dominic Merella has been offered a trial at League Two club Bournemouth.

The youngster, who was released at Bloomfield Road last week, has not found it difficult at all in his pursuit of a new club. Ross Lloyd, who was let go at the same time as Merella, has also attracted the attention of several league clubs.

But it was Merella who always caught the eye for Blackpool youth or the reserves, which culminated in a first career appearance in January away at Torquay United.

The decision to release Merella from his contract has been considered a strange one by many supporters - especially those who witnessed his fantastic showings in pre season.

We would like to wish Dominic all the best, and hope that he earns a contract at Dean Court.
