Blackpool Sign Brett Ormerod

Blackpool Sign Brett Ormerod

According to the LEP, Blackpool Gazette and Radio Lancashire, Brett Ormerod has signed for Blackpool today on a deal until the end of the season.

The news has yet to break on the official website.

The former Southampton man, who nearly hit the winner in the 2003 FA Cup final for The Saints, has had his contract at Preston North End terminated.

Brett scored 62 goals in a four year spell at Bloomfield Road before he made his £1.75 million move to St. Marys.

The mooted move has polarised supporters this morning on the internet - with a seemingly 40-60 split as to whether it's a good move or not.

It's likely that if the paperwork goes through, he'll be in the squad to face Crystal Palace tomorrow.
