'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Chance To Kick On For Blackpool

The mood on the Fylde Coast has changed dramatically after the 2-0 home win against Birmingham City - and on Tuesday it could get a whole lot better with the visit of QPR.

The Seasiders played in the only Championship game this weekend, which saw them climb two places in the table above Barnsley and Plymouth.

And looking at the midweek fixtures, Tony Parkes and his backroom staff could be in pole position for the managerial role full time.

Seven points is the difference between 'Pool and the relegation zone.

The team who currently occupy the last relegation spot, Doncaster, have a difficult trip - they're away at Sheffield United.

The stand out game at the bottom has to be at Carrow Road where Southampton face Norwich City, and the result of that could go a long way to proving which team will cope best without their manager in the long run.

Derby face our opponents from Saturday, Birmingham City, at Pride Park, whilst Coventry host Cardiff City.

All of the games look tricky on paper, with perhaps the exception of Barnsley's game at home to Ipswich, where you would expect The Tykes to trouble Jim Magilton's Tractor Boys, who don't travel well.

Lastly, Bristol City and Plymouth play eachother; obviously both of the teams can't take three points, and as they currently sandwich 'Pool this can't be a bad thing!

With the rumoured arrival of some new faces before the QPR game, things are again looking rosey, and if the Tangerines can take a positive result from the game, a snowballing feel good factor would certainly ensue.
