O'Donovan Signs At Seaside

O'Donovan Signs At Seaside

Sunderland's Roy O'Donovan has signed for Blackpool on-loan until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old has found first team opportunities limited at the Stadium of Light, and has been at Dundee United for the first half of this campaign. However, that loan spell was cut short, and he is now at Bloomfield Road.

Roy can play wide right, but has found himself up front for a while under various different managers.

He was top scorer in the Irish league in 2007, but has scored just one goal since, with a goals per game record of 0.03. However, The Seasiders are experts at kick-starting stop-start careers and this could be a perfect move for both sides.

I wonder if, given the striker situation at SOL, we could get him on a permanent deal in the summer?
