'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Home or away

Firstly, 36 per cent of you reckon it is easier playing away in the Championship. 38 per cent think it depends on the style of play your team adopts, hence counter-attacking teams tend to do better on their travels. 18 per cent of you think it's easier playing in front of the home crowd.

Statistically, it's difficult to find a pattern suggesting it is in fact easier to pick up results away from home. Of course Blackpool seem to be good at it - only two home wins compared to four on the road.

Doncaster, Nottingham Forest and Charlton, all sitting in the bottom three, have each won just once away from home, as have QPR in 10th place. Cardiff sitting just outside the play-offs have won just twice away so far.

Interestingly the top three, Wolves, Birmingham and Reading have all won eight times at home, but Reading have won fewer games away than ourselves.

Looking at our own situation, it's clear teams are more prepared about what to expect when visiting Bloomfield Road. Starting off with tow home defeats in August set us on the back foot and we haven't really recovered at home since.

Winning breeds confidence, so if we were to string together a few good performances and results at Bloomfield Road, I'm sure the home form will improve.

As for the away form, keep it up boys! We only won four away all last season. The target should be double figures for this season!
