Hendrie signs for Pool on loan

The experienced midfielder has signed for Blackpool on loan until January when the Seasiders have an option to extend Hendrie's stay.

It was at Aston Villa that Lee made a name for himself. He made more than 200 apperances for Villa and scored 32 goals.

He dropped down into the Championship with Stoke in 2006 where he made 26 appearances on loan for Tony Pulis' side.

Hendrie then signed for Sheffield United last year but he has struggled to make an impression at Bramall Lane so far.

Hendrie, a former England international, will add extra bite and of course quality to the central and wide areas of the midfield. The 31-year-old came off the bench to make his Blackpool debut in yesterday's derby defeat. He could well be handed his first start for Pool at Wolves on Saturday.

Says 31.. one thing you wont get is 'bite'. A bit light weight but with a temper. Mind... if he performs anything like he can do he will be the best player in the Championship. Gifted but a but of a knob. Hope he rediscovers his form for you boys.

Not a bad loan signing, will give you something different in midfield. It could really go one way or the other with him - he's undoubtedly a good player, but will he put the effort in for you?
