'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Blackpool Blog

On the pitch:
The less said the better about yesterday's demoralising derby defeat to Preston. Adam Hammill's first half strike looked to have set Pool on their way to victory. But a shocking second half display allowed the visitors to score three times to heap misery on all in Tangerine.

Ressies Rochdale draw:
Danny Mitchley and Lewis Almond were on target as Pool came from behind twice to earn a draw. Good to see Mitchley bag playing football after such a long injury lay-off and back in the goals. But with Nardiello and McPhee coming back to fitness Mitchley will have his work cut out to earn a place in the first team.

Off the pitch:
Chairman Karl Oyston has assured us that the South Stand is progressing, slowly, and will be completed in time for the start of next season.

Youngsters head to Wales:
Blackpool`s youth team will travel to South Wales to play Cardiff in the FA Youth Cup third round game on December 3 at 7pm.

Crewe sign Green on loan:
Midfielder Stuart Green has joined League One side Crewe Alexandra on a month`s loan. Green has failed to make an impact in Blackpool`s first team since his arrival last January. With his contract up in the summer it seems his future lies away from the seaside.

Best thread on the forum:
'Home Form' started by davpick correctly shows our home form to be pretty wretched so far this season. And performances like yesterday's will do little to encourage the fans to come back to Bloomers.

Time to move on:
The last two home performances have been woeful to say the least. The win at Watford at the start of the month seems a long time ago now. Whilst we are all still disappointed with what has happened in the last eight days we must try to draw a line under it and move on otherwise this season could prove to be a real struggle. Thankfully we've got a nice easy trip to the league leaders Wolves on Saturday to get back on track.
