'Pool's Vaughan In Wales Squad
David Vaughan has today been called up for Wales' friendly match against Denmark next week.
Vaughan, who has been involved in both national team squads since his summer move from Real Sociedad, will be looking to build on his 16 caps for the welsh.
One man that won't be building on his caps tally for Wales is Blackpool skipper Rob Edwards. The centre back, who has played 15 times for his country, has yet to be involved in the squads since his move from Wolves - a complete contrast to Vaughan.
The continual selection of Peterborough United central defender Craig Morgan seems strange by manager John Toshack, as he opts for the less inexperienced League One player ahead of Edwards. However, Rob would probably be the first to admit that his performances for The Seasiders in the last month haven't been of the quality we're used to seeing from him.
On a brighter note, Wes Hoolahan has been overlooked by Ireland ahead of their game next Wednesday.
And perhaps more surprising news, but welcome all the same - Kaspars Gorkss doesn't feature in Latvia's squad to play Estonia!
